Description
Born from Triride technology, it allows you to transform your manual wheelchair into an advanced technology electronic wheelchair. The MTW Trekking kit attaches and removes in a few seconds, returning the wheelchair to its original state without any structural changes. Combined with any Triride, Tribike Hybrid or Triwheel model, it allows you to have a high-performance electric wheelchair with one, two or three-wheel drive (3X3). Thanks to the special control you can choose the type of drive you want. By removing the front power traction it is possible to use the wheelchair in indoor mode using the practical joystick. The motorised wheels allow you to tackle any type of off-road route or very demanding climb.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Triride Trekking Multi Traction Wheelchair System?
The Triride Trekking is a multi-traction system designed to increase the capabilities of a compatible manual wheelchair. It can be combined with compatible Triride products to create a high-performance powered wheelchair setup with additional traction for more demanding journeys and terrain.
How does the Triride Trekking system work?
The Trekking system works in combination with a compatible Triride front attachment to provide additional powered traction through the wheelchair. Depending on the configuration, the complete setup can provide one, two or three-wheel drive.
Can the Triride Trekking provide three-wheel drive?
Yes. When configured with compatible Triride equipment, the Trekking system can create a three-wheel-drive, or 3x3, wheelchair setup. This is designed to provide additional traction and capability compared with a conventional manual wheelchair.
Which Triride products can be used with the Trekking system?
The Triride Trekking can be combined with compatible Triride, Tribike Hybrid and Triwheel models. The exact configuration required will depend on your wheelchair and existing Triride equipment, so compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.
Will the Triride Trekking fit my wheelchair?
Compatibility depends on your wheelchair's make, model, frame and configuration as well as the Triride equipment being used. We recommend confirming compatibility before purchase rather than assuming the Trekking system will fit every wheelchair.
What is the advantage of a multi-traction wheelchair system?
A multi-traction system provides additional driven wheels and traction. This can increase the versatility of a wheelchair and Triride combination when travelling over more challenging surfaces or in conditions where additional traction is beneficial.
Is the Triride Trekking suitable for off-road use?
The Trekking system is designed for users looking for increased traction and performance over more demanding terrain. However, suitability will depend on the complete wheelchair and Triride configuration, the user and the conditions. Always observe the manufacturer's operating limits and safety guidance.
Can the Triride Trekking be used on hills?
The additional traction provided by the Trekking system can be useful when tackling more demanding routes. Safe performance on slopes depends on factors including the gradient, surface, wheelchair configuration, user weight and Triride model. Never exceed the manufacturer's stated operating limits.
Is the Triride Trekking a complete electric wheelchair?
The Trekking is a system designed to work with compatible wheelchair and Triride equipment rather than a conventional standalone electric wheelchair. When correctly combined, it can create a high-performance powered wheelchair configuration with one, two or three-wheel drive.
Can I use the Trekking system with equipment I already own?
If you already have a compatible Triride, Tribike Hybrid or Triwheel product, it may be possible to incorporate the Trekking system into your existing setup. Compatibility should be checked using the exact models and configuration you own.
Do I need an assessment before purchasing the Triride Trekking?
An assessment is strongly recommended for a specialist multi-traction wheelchair system. This allows compatibility, configuration and suitability for the user's individual requirements to be considered before purchase.
