Immedia OneWayGlide Velour Positioning Pad

The Immedia OneWayGlide Velour Tubular Positioning Pad is made for patients that tend to slide forwards in their wheelchairs or chairs without meaning to. Featuring a specially designed and luxurious velour top, the cushioned pad stops the user sliding in the wrong direction while still remaining comfortable to sit on. This helps to prevent the development of shear and sores, which can be particularly painful for those in a wheelchair.

The Immedia Glide Cushion allows easy sliding in one direction, whilst resisting sliding in the other direction. The user stays in a correct seating position and stops accidental movement. This reduces shear and friction, which can cause sores and pressure injuries. There is also a risk of this when a patient is being manually handled by a carer and the OneWayGlide helps to prevent that as well. 

This product is suitable for preventing sliding forward while sitting as well as facilitating independent or assisted positioning back in a chair. It is ideal for use when the patient needs repositioning repeatedly, and can be used independently or with a carer. Please note that, due to the velour top, this pad must be used on a textile surface.
