AAT S-Max Vario Stairclimber

The AAT S-Max Sella Vario was developed to overcome multiple stairway situations and is suitable for both semi and non-ambulant users both indoors and outdoors.  The Vario is a great access solution where there are multiple users with different abilitiesFor ambulant and semi ambulant users it features a built-in seat which the user can sit comfortable on whilst the operator moves them up / down the stairs. For wheelchair users who are non- ambulant, the seat can be removed and the universal rack opened up.  This allows the stairclimber to attach to the client’s wheelchair and enable the operator to safely move the client in their wheelchair up and down the stairs.

The total weight approved of the S-Max Sella Vario depends on the version in use, with the integral seat the total weight approved is 195kg, with the universal rack the weight approved is 160kg.The operation of the S-Max Sella Vario is very easy. After some initial training the operator can handle the device safely. Variable climbing speed adjustment ensures the device can be set to right operating speed for the conditions and an integrated safety chip protects against unauthorised use.
