Quick Release Axle Pin 1/2" Diameter 120mm

Quick release 120mm 1/2" axle pin for manual wheelchairs. Made from stainless steel with a quick release mechanism, this pin allow users to change wheel types and sizes easily.

The length of axle pin required will depend on the size of your wheel hub and the make & model of your wheelchair

Step 1: Measure the length of your current axle pin. Ensure the nut is fully wound to the cap and measure the distance between this and the small ball bearings at the opposite end of the pin. This measurement will show you the overall length of pin you need to fit both a wheel hub and ensure secure attachment to your chair.
Step 2: Measure the size of your current wheel hub. Comparing this measurement to the size of the wheelhub on your alternate wheels will determine the length of pin you require ie, the longer the wheel hub, the longer the pin.

If you prefer a bit more clearance between your side guards and inside of your tyres, small adjustments can be made by adding spacers. Bear in mind this will also affect the length of your required axle pin.

Most axle pins are 1/2 diameter (12.7mm), as determined by the bearings on your chair. Occasionally, some models of chair use 12mm bearings which require a specialised axle pin. If you are unsure what size you need, get in touch.
