The Drive Sentra Transit Wheelchair is designed to provide comfortable and dependable attendant-propelled mobility for larger wheelchair users.

With a substantial 200kg (31 stone) maximum user weight and three generous seat-width options, the Sentra provides significantly more seating space than many conventional transit wheelchairs. Choose between 20", 22" and 24" seat widths, allowing the wheelchair to be more appropriately matched to the individual user. A sturdy carbon-steel frame, dual cross-brace, durable vinyl upholstery and solid tyres provide a practical combination of strength and relatively low maintenance.

Bariatric Wheelchair for Users up to 31st

All three versions of the Sentra Transit support a maximum user weight of 200kg / 31 stone.  This makes the Sentra particularly suitable for customers looking for a bariatric or heavy-duty transit wheelchair with a choice of wider seating options. The wheelchair's sturdy carbon-steel frame is reinforced by a dual cross-brace, providing the additional structural support required while retaining a folding design.

Choice of 20", 22" & 24" Seat Widths

Choosing an appropriate seat width is particularly important when specifying a bariatric wheelchair.

The Sentra Transit is available in three sizes:

• 20" model: 51cm / 20.1" seat width
• 22" model: 55cm / 21.7" seat width
• 24" model: 61cm / 24" seat width

All three versions provide a 46cm / 18.1" seat depth and 53cm / 20.9" seat height.

Removable Padded Armrests

The Sentra features padded desk-style armrests, providing comfortable arm support without unnecessarily restricting access to tables and work surfaces.

Swing-Away & Removable Footrests

The Sentra uses a sturdy carbon-steel frame with a black finish. A dual cross-brace reinforces the wheelchair while still allowing it to fold for transportation and storage. This heavy-duty construction is particularly important given the chair's substantial 200kg maximum user weight.

Folds for Storage & Transportation

Despite its heavy-duty design, the Sentra Transit incorporates a simple folding mechanism. All three sizes fold to approximately 34cm / 13.4" wide. The armrests and footrests can also be removed, helping reduce the chair's dimensions when preparing it for storage or transportation.

Easy-Clean Vinyl Upholstery

The Sentra is fitted with double-embossed vinyl upholstery. This can be particularly useful in care, community and healthcare environments where straightforward cleaning is an important consideration.

Solid Tyres for Lower Maintenance

All Sentra models feature solid tyres. Unlike pneumatic tyres, these don't require inflation and remove the inconvenience of punctures. The Sentra also uses 20.3cm / 8" solid front castors, which can be height adjusted through three positions.
