The Xplorer Cabin Scooter is available with 110ah but this adds significantly to the overall weight of the scooter with a gross weight of 230kg which surpasses the maximum allowed class weight of 200 kg.   It is therefore is deemed as "out of class" according to UK legislation but still below the maximum unladen weight 254 kilograms as defined by the Road Traffic Act 1988.  Unlike class III mobility scooters,  the Xplorer cabin scooter cannot be driven on public pavements and pedestrian zones and drivers must hold a valid UK driver's licence and ensure that they purchase suitable insurance cover for their Xplorer like any other vehicle on the road.
