Our stock Tintern Porter Riser is a mobile rise and recline chair with dual tilt in space control. It is ideal for use in a care environment where it is necessary to move the client and the chair between rooms. Traditional riser recliner chairs are great for helping the user to stand and provide comfort but are not suitable for use as a portering chair. The Tintern is the first of its kind and has proven a hit with ward staff, hospice and care home facilities.

The Tilt in space action provides flexible positioning, comfort and pressure relief associated with traditional non powered tilt in space armchairs but with the flexibility of a riser function ensuring a safe sit to stand transfer for those users can weigh bare. The chair has a 25 stone weight capacity but most carers will struggle to manoeuvre clients over 15 stone in weight when used as a portering chair.
